  • Double Oceanfront Auction on January 30, 2010

Never thought I'd live to see award winning new oceanfront construction on an upscale beach going to auction at nearly half price of hard costs. This is an absolutely amazing opportunity for anyone looking for the deal of the century or "deals" that is. What we have are two beachfront homes, each on one and a half acre lots on the Atlantic Ocean.  Double Oceanfront Auction on the Isle of Palms, SC.

  • The Charleston Market is edging forward - April, 7, 2009

The recent buzz has been "when do you think the market will come back?"  Truth be known, the Charleston real estate market will not come back since "back in time" was really not as good as we thought. It was bubble time and of course we now all realize that unrealistic appreciation year after year was not a sustainable market. It was in fact, just as has been coined, "a bubble market". So to answer your question, the market we hope will not come back but rather will emerge as a new more practical, balanced market where supply and demand are in sinc and where lenders lend money to buyers who reasonably qualify for their mortgage loans. The good news is that "yes" the buzz is that we're moving in the right direction and things will be better than they were in the good old days of the bubble. There is a bright light at the end of this tunnel!  http://www.inman.com/blog/2009/03/22/word-street-real-estate-markets-are-improving-you-tell-us

  • Much to do about real estate auctions

I recently experienced first hand what it's like to hold a real estate auction for a luxury oceanfront home in the Charleston area. Unfortunately the 3 bidders who stepped up to the plate just didn't meet the seller's undisclosed minimum reserve. The seller was willing to drop the price nearly  $2 million dollars but apparently these bidders wanted to not just get a great deal........ they were looking for an impossible deal. Is this greed?

Take a look at the property in question. It is simply deluxe and still the best deal imaginable for a high quality luxury oceanfront home. Make an offer. You may be surprised. http://beachfrontauction.com for a virtual tour!
